Korčula Island recently hosted the Korkyra Baroque Festival 2025, a prestigious international cultural event celebrating the elegance and timeless beauty of baroque music. From September 1st to September 17th, 2025, music lovers enjoyed world-class performances across some of the island's most historic venues.
Stunning Venues Across Korčula
The festival was not confined to Korčula town. Instead, it took advantage of the island's rich history, hosting concerts in churches, atriums, and other cultural monuments. Venues for 2025 included St. Mark's Cathedral in Korčula, Parish Church of St. Nicholas in Račišće, Franciscan Monastery on Badija island, Parish Church of Our Lady of the Snow in Pupnat, The Parish Church of Mary the helper of Christians - Orebić, St. Roch’s Church in Lumbarda.

The festival program blended the talents of Croatian and international artists, offering a diverse and captivating experience for all attendees. Key performances included:
September 1st – Baroque Moreška at the Summer Cinema in Korčula, featuring the Croatian Baroque Ensemble.
September 4th – Concert with Dagmar Korbar, featuring the Croatian Baroque Ensemble and Julian Perkins.
September 11th – Ebony & Ivory at St. Mark's Cathedral with Tibor Naglić.
September 12th-14th – Sirens & Soldiers with Concerto Scirocco at various locations, including free concerts in Račišće and Pupnat.
September 15th-16th – In Haydn's Style with Girandola Quartett.
September 17th – Trionfo del Momento with In Vocare at St. Mark's Cathedral
