                                       Chef's table

 

LD offers a multiple course food experience inspired by our Head Chef Marko Gajski's favourite dishes from the A La Carte and Tasting Menus. Personally served by our Head Chef and Head Sommelier Dražen Matković, guests are guided through a seven course menu paired with eight wines and local olive oils. Alternatively, guests can accompany the seven course menu with their own choice of wines from our wine list. There is also a five course tasting menu.

In addition to our Terrace by the sea, LD has an intimate space for up to 10 guests to sample the latest menu ideas, paired with recommended olive oils and local wines. We can also create exclusive menus for Chef’s Table guests using requested ingredients if those are available.  The Chef’s Table can be booked for lunch or dinner.

My life philosophy is that whatever I do has to leave some sort of an impact on people.

I apply the same philosophy to cuisine. Cooking is not work, cooking is a lifestyle. Just as life itself, food needs to have character, it has to be exciting and tell a story. Inspiration is all around us, it’s just a matter of surrounding yourself with the environment and focusing on what mother nature provides us with each season.

My main inspiration is Croatian gastronomy, which in turn is highly influenced by Italian, French, Turkish, and Austrian cuisine. For me gastronomy is a moment, a moment in which we’re capable of forgetting everything and letting all of our senses enjoy the perfect blend of taste, smell and atmosphere.

My mission as a Chef is to make this moment for my guests come true.
