LD Sea Adventures
A distinctive way to explore the islands, shaped by tradition, sea, and time.
KATA BOAT
Kata is one of the very few remaining traditional wooden motor boats once central to Korčula’s local shipbuilding tradition. Lovingly restored, she now offers a refined and intimate way to explore the surrounding islands, combining time on the water with attentive service and thoughtful culinary touches.
Inspired by the local tradition of going to škoji - day trips to nearby islets long cherished by Korčula families - time aboard Kata reflects a slower, more instinctive way of life. These outings are traditionally marked by swimming in quiet coves and simple food prepared for the day, with one particularly popular ritual: gathering sea urchins, opened and enjoyed on the spot with fresh bread and local wine.
* Škoj' is singular term for 'islet' - pronounced 'schkoy'

The islands surrounding Korčula offer a natural setting for swimming, snorkelling, sunbathing, and simple picnics ashore. With the breeze on the water and the town receding behind you, it’s easy to imagine centuries of maritime history - including the legendary sea battles of Korčula - unfolding across these same channels.
